Overview of Polar International Circle (PIC)

The Polar International Circle (PIC) is an information and data exchange programme that was developed by Polar Commons to help both the scientific community and the public to access relevant, reliable and current information and data on a wide range of issues concerning the Earth's polar regions. Fast and effortlessly!

PIC was built for Polar Commons by a reputable software programming and development company which has been working for a number of internationally acclaimed organisations and scientific institutions. The programme was developed to meet the highest security standards, enable fast and easy exchange of information and ideas, and at the same time, meet Polar Commons' strict set of rules in regard to ethics and norms. To promote cooperation and data sharing, PIC also features Alert function which, just like its name suggests, alerts the programme's users when new data/information is shared to help members of the community to stay up-to-date with the latest findings and developments.
